Hi!

I have a rather strange problem with getting older posts through Archive module of Blog module.

All links in Archive, same for Date and for Months (January, February) are not working. Clicking on < sign to go to March not working too. Every click in the area of Archive results always in first (newest) page of blog.

So I can't get to older posts if I don't have big enough number of posts for first page.

As I can see, links on my site are formed in this manner: http://www.simbiont.si/Default.aspx?tabid=54&BlogDate&2008-03-31&DateType&month&language=sl-SI with ampersands and without slashes which are true on other dnn blogs (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/BlogId/65/BlogDate/2006-08-31/DateType/month/Default.aspx).

Using DNN 4.08.00., blog module 3.04, site is: http://www.simbiont.si/, blogs on http://www.simbiont.si/Default.aspx?tabid=54.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi piskec,

the URL links rendered in your archive control are wrong. The problem is in the querystring, let's see for example:

http://www.simbiont.si/Default.aspx?tabid=54&BlogDate&2008-03-31&DateType&month&language=en-US

while it should be:

http://www.simbiont.si/Default.aspx?tabid=54&BlogDate=2008-03-31&DateType=month&language=en-US

If you try my corrected URL everything goes as expected. This was reported also in this post. Did you upgrade from an earlier version of DotNetNuke?

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Hi again piskec,

I found out that the problem is related to the NavigateURL method that is used to populate the links in the calendar control. This method applies the actual friendlyURL settings of the installation. I was able to reproduce the issue on my installation just disabling friendlyURLs. You should try to enable friendlyURLs, and the problem will solve, but as far as I know this is not possible in some languages that use non-standard carachters like è or é and so on, is this your case?

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Dario, thanks!

Yes, I'm using slovenian language which have some nonstandard characters.

And yes I've turned off friendlyURLs since I have my site at home and I'm using different IP addresses for reaching it (from outside and from home network). It was only possible with friendlyURLs turned off...

But I'll try with some different languages just to see if there's a problem.

Thanks,
piskec
