Hi all,

We have an application developed upon dotnetnuke ver 2.x. We want to update it to support Arabic Language.

Wat would be the ideal steps necessary for that.

Any quick reply would be more than useful.

Best Regards,

Hameer Saleem

you would need to upgrade DNN framework up to DNN 3.x (3.1.1 recommended). Ensure before, that there are DNN 3 versions for all 3rd party modules and skin objects you use, as DNN 2 code does not run with DNN 3

  1. upgrade your portal
  2. install all updated modules
  3. install default language pack, if available
  4. install module language pack, if available
  5. log in as host, go to Host::Languages
  6. if you don't have any language packs installed, add the desired language
  7. start the resource verifier, print the result.
  8. go to language editor (still in Host::Languages) and add all missing translations.
  9. run resource verifier again, go back to 8 until no issues found
  10. export your language pack, so you can easily save and distribute it.
