hello,

can someone please tell me how to reference a textbox in javascrip that is in a custom module? i have a module and it in, i have a custom validator that calls a function - in that function, it checks the textbox date value - the textboxes are RichDatePicker controls. i'm getting an "object required" .  .Text is a valid property of the RichDatePicker. any help would be appreciated as this is my first attempt to put javascript into a dnn page. thanks.

this didn't solve the problem - i'm getting the "object required" on referencing the textbox.

i'm sorry i'm not getting it - i did the above and i get an error on "Expression is not a method" -

problem solved! this is a great link to show you how to prefix client-side to use for validating controls (or whatever) on the client-side:
