We have a problem with disabling parent pages. - If a sub-page is deleted, using the page functions, it effectively disables the parent page. That is, when users click on the parent page it doesn't display. the page still exists and can be viewed by administrators under the pages tab, but it can't be viewed from the menu. The settings of the parent page remain the same - nominally it is not disabled, but effectively it is.

So far we have worked around it by making a new parent page and transferring the content, but clearly that will only work while our site remains small. We need to stop the problem happening in the first place.

Any clues what might be causing this to happen and how we might fix it?

What version of DNN are you running? I can't say I've seen this happen before.
