Has anyone moved their entire website to another host  server and another domain name/url? This is a community website with lots of users so want to know if all the users can be moved to the new domain?

Any tips, experiences, helpful links on how to do this (FAQ or instructions) are welcome! Please help!

Moving is pretty easy.

Before you take the site down add your new URL as a PortalAlias (logged in as host)

Backup/Restore the Database and files

change the web.config for the new database settings

Setup IIS and file permissions

Load the site

Those are the basics at least.
