I'm trying to use the Blog module(s) and I think I get it, but it isn't as straightforward as I expected it to be even for a logged in user. Is there a website you can point me to that uses this blog module so I can see how it looks when it's all done right?!

We use the blog module as our CMS.  You can see the out-of-the-box blog module in action here.

We also use the Radiant BlogDisplay module on our homepage.  Check that out here.  It allows you to create a customized view for your blog to replace or augment the one that comes with the core module.

Those both look great, but nothing like what I got! Are you sure that first example especially was the Blog module? Not the Forum module?! I just removed the Blog module(s) all together from my site. It was so ugly!!

Hi Azanna,

the example that Rip Rowan posted is a superb showcase of the Blog module in action. Remember that you can style your Blog module to fit your look and feel through the module.css stylesheet, and make it match your site's style. The style that comes out-of-the-box with the module is intended to be only a default, but it is quite flexible and extensible.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Azanna - yes, that's the blog module.  I'm using the Flux by Tyler Fawcett skin, and very little extra css modification.

Everything happens in the skin.  You'll have to build or find one that gets you the look you want.

You can use the Radiant BlogDisplay and put all the formatting in the HTML code, but that still leaves you coding HTML to get the look you're wanting.
