Search not indexing content from a specific module (FAQ Module)

I can search for content from other modules no problem; content is listed as normal.
However, my content from the FAQ module is not being indexed.

In host / Schedule - the indexer is set to run every 30 minutes (history says Succeeded = true)

any ideas.

thanks
mark

modules need to support the search interface, please check the module definition, if it is turned on.

Hi Mark,

also note that the ISearchable interface could be implememented by developers in different ways. They may decide by their own what contents to include in the search operations. This means that even if your content has already been indexed, you will non be able to find matches for the content that has not been included in the interface.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Hi,

My Module Definition is turned on (searchable is checked).

"ISearchable interface could be implememented by developers in different ways"
- Not sure where this is - Do you mean the various options inside the Host >> Module Definitions section?

"if your content has already been indexed, you will not be able to find matches for the content that has not been included in the interface."
- Do you mean there is a where of adding keywords to a module?

thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,

sorry I was not very clear. Every developer implements the Isearchable interface by his own means that this is hard coded into module's code. Only some modules have specific settings to control the behaviour of the code during indexing. Usually these settings are placed in the module's settings, not in Host menus. If the module doesn't show them, there's no way to change its way to expose content to the search engine.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
