I just bought a new laptop and moved dnn 4.4 from my old computer to the new one. I copied the dnn application directory, setup the virtual directory, the persmission, etc... When I go to navigate to the site by using http://localhost/mywebsite I receive "The page isn't redirecting properly." So I went into SQL Server management studio to see if the portal aliases were correct and if they were pointing to the correct portal and they are so I restarted IIS, made a change in the web.config to restart asp.net. And I still get the same "page isn't redirecting properly." Any ideas on how to fix this? I tried everything I could think of.

Thanks!
John

Hey John,

Check out this post I replied to this morning - you may be experiencing a similiar issue with the trust level in the config file.

Let me know if that works,
Take care,

Ian

btw: could you explain why this would cause such an error?

Hey John,

Glad you were able to get your issue resolved - that one threw me for a loop for at least an hour or two when I first encountered. Though I was able to pinpoint the resolution for this issue, i can't explain why it happens. I have a few thoughts, but I really haven't taken any time to look into it further.

Take care,

Ian

Also, for everyone else -- here is the link mentioned in my previous post
