Hi, i'm installing AD in a intranet dotnetnuke.

Windows authenticacion automatic login is working, but when i go to login manually with domain\user and password appears an error "Login Failed, remember that Passwords are case sensitive"

i'm developing for intranet in http://localhost/dnnintranet/

My config: dnn 4.8.2 and 1.0.0.3 for AD provider.
from web.config

<!--

--><add name="Authentication" type="DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule, DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory" />identity impersonate="true"="domain\user" password="pass" />

Any sugestions? Thanks !

How long are the passwords that you're using? By default in the web.config DNN has a minimum password length of 7 so if you passwords are less than that it'll throw that error. If you open up the web.config and do a search for PasswordLength you should be able to find it and change it to whatever your domain's minimum length is.

I changed the minimun length from 7 to 4. And appears the same message.

I reinstalled the local DNN in a new database and before install AD Provider i change the minimun length to 4. Then when i installed ad provider and i try login manually with my domain\myaccount appears the same menssage ( domain\myaccount is the same in the impersonate tag in web.config).

But if i try with any other account ex domain\otheraccount works fine. Myaccount and otheraccount has more than 4 chars.

Regards.

I'm going to ask what may be a stupid question but you are clicking on "Windows Login" before you enter your account manually correct?

Can you login with Host/Admin portal credentials and check the Admin->Event Viewer to see if a more detailed error message is supplied?
