Hi All,

I'm running DNN 4.8.2.

As asked here, I would like to add a new field to the user's profile, a 7 digit number, referred to as a "constituent ID".

I tried going into UserAccounts and adding a property.  I created a new profile property called "constituent ID".  It is marked as a required field on the profile page.  Here's the profile properties page:

n/a

However, it doesn't show up as a field on the user registration page.  Here's the registration page:

How do I get ConstituentID to show up on the user registration page, and be required?

I will also need to do some custom validation on that field, both at the provider level (when creating the user in the system), and probably also at the form level, so they can't submit the form unless it's a valid constituent ID.  However, first things first -- right now I just need to get it to show up on the page!

I eventually stumbled upon the answer to my question elsewhere.

In order for custom profile fields to be visible on the registration page, you have to go to Users Accounts, User Settings, and then check "Require a valid Profile for Registration" (towards the bottom of the settings list)

It would seem that this should be checked by default, rather than unchecked.  Regardless, it needs to be checked, or users will not have the opportunity to set their profile information during registration.
