Arrrrggghhhhhhh.............

Ok, I've installed DNN 4.02 and it is up and running.  Minor problems getting it up,but it is up.  Now comes the problem of actually doing something with it. I can create a portal as long as it is a child and navigate to it, but when I add a portal alias it won't resolve.  However, if I put a dummy default.htm in the default document in IIS, it works.  That tells me IIS is configured correctly, but something is going on with DNN.

I've done this as a clean install and I also deleted the SQL Server Dotnetnuke database, then reinstalled.  I'm running Windows 2000 Server and IIS 5.  I would appreciate any help that might be offered.  I am stumped and about ready to delete it.
