Hi,

This is currently listed against version 4.1.0 (see Road Map). So it should be out with the next version. As you may be aware we spent a lot of effort making the module stable in version 4.0.1 and 4.0.2. The next version has many enhancements, but as always not everything requested will make it in since all people working on the module are volunteers with real lives to lead. Equally we acnnot commit to a timeline for the next version for the same reason.

Cheers
Roger

Hi,

I coded a change yesterday, which allows you to specify (via Module Settings) a number of days before the current date, where events will automatically be deleted.

I did have some thoughts on this though. This is potentially dangerous, because someone entering a number could cause havoc to there database with no means to recover data without a database restore. So I was wondering what the real value of this change is.

Currently there is capability within the module to hide data in the most likely situation where it would cause a problem, i.e. in the list views. All you have to do is set the correct List View parameters, and it will only shows events that are within that criteria.

The other place is via week/month view. But is this really a problem. Potentially people may wish to hide events a year old. But what is the likelihood that someone will really want to go and look at events a year old, and does it matter?

So, is this requirement to be tidy, or to hide data from view?

Thoughts anyone?

Thanks
Roger
