Hi...

I have version DNN 4.0.2 running with source.  Now I am trying to follow to follow the instructions for "Configuring Your Visual Studio.NET Project" under the Module Developers Guide.  Step 5 in the process reads:

5. In the BuildSupport project in the <approot>\Solutions\DotNetNuke.DesktopModules\BuildSupport\ directory add a reference to your project.  By adding the reference to the BuildSupport project will take the references from your solution to be built within the main DotNetNuke bin directory.

However....  In the <approot> folder of my package there is no such Solutions sub folder.  Can anyone please tell me

1. If this process has changed for this version.

2. Must I use the "module starter kit"?

Regards,

Jimmy

That is for DNN3. Use the Module Starter Kit for DNN4

So there's no "manual" way to do some steps like for DNN3? :)

Hello Adef,

I have seen and follow-up your tutorial.

But when let say I want to do my very own module including all the SQL scripts, I wonder how do I generate them? Can I just generate the scripts using the SQL Enterprise Manager after I have done all the tables, stored procedures? And why some of modules have many files of "01.00.00.SqlDataProvider" why they don't just throw in everything in one file.

I understand that there're two script usually 1 is for registering the module

and the other is for creating tables, storedprocedures etc. But when I look at some other modules they have more than one "01.00.00.SqlDataProvider" of course in different version/name of file

Please light me up :)
