There's obviously something I am missing here...

I can only get one instance working at a time... the other comes up with the error:

Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)

What am I not doing right?  How do others run a development/testing instance of DNN live from the same server?

Ok, a step closer... added the hostheader dev1.domain.com in IIS.  Not actually used them before (don't need them usually with DNN).

Situation now...

In IE7 on the server itself, the original live site and the new development/test copy site seem to be working fine... different sites come up for the different http addresses.

But...

On other computers when i try to look at the dev1.domain.com it says the server can't be found!  At least now I can do something viewing it on the server... but I'd rather not be on the server doing this.  What have I missed now?

Ok... I've no idea what's happened... but everything is working now... as I expected in the first place really.
