I'm coming from a java / linus world and trying to get DNN up and running on Win2003 server.  Should be a snap I'm sure.  I followed the DNN installation guide as precisely as I could.

IIS (6.0) is up and running and accessing the correct DNN directories since I can retrieve the DNN logo file and other static files.  but when I try to run the Install.aspx script or any other script I get a 403 permissions denied.  I'm gone through all the security settings I can find in both the file system and IIS and can't seem to get rid of the error and procees with the install.

I'm hoping this is an easy one.  Please help!

The subcode on the 403 would help narrow it, but it's modt likely you didn't give the NETWORK SERVICE account full permission to the DNN folders.

Below is the exact error I receive.  I double checked and NETWORK SERVICE account has FULL CONTROL of the directory and all subdirectories of the DNN installation.  Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Eric

In the IIS instance for the DNN site have you allowed both scripts and executables?

Did you enable ASP.NET as a web service extension?  IIS help is at www.iis.net if you need it.
