We are on version 4.05.03

I am using the banner module to rotate images which has a external link to a booking engine.  The rotation of images on page refresh is fine.  My question is that when the user clinks on the image, I do not want to open a new window which it currently does.  I basically want to stay in the same window.  I looked within the banner module settings as well as the vendor settings and could not find an option to do this.

Thanks

Hello, i am not sure how you have attached the link, but no problems, try this in, brig the image into a blank table using the txtx / html module, attach the link using the links option in txt html ( this should be open in same window ) then open / edit the script of that table / select all script go to your vendor , select the banner and paste that script into the text / script section, dial up script as your banner type and you should be good. You can delete the table / txt module once set up

As you will soon find by my post that my knowledge in html is limited.  I was able to do do the first part which was to paste the image into the table.

At that point I am not sure what you mean to open/edit the script of the that table.  This is what I have so far.  I changed the link in this example.

<table cellspacing="1" cellpadding="1" width="200" border="1"> <tbody> <tr> <td><a target="_self" href="http://pts.abc.com/ots/Index.do?agID=908"><img style="width: 446px; height: 294px" height="280" alt="" width="420" border="0" src="/Portals/0/booking3.gif" /></a></td> </tr> </tbody> </table>

When I pasted this as is into the text/script box.  It actually has the table and the image. When I click the image it does what I want it to do so I know I must be on the right track.

Thats good it's on the right track, one thing to keep in mind is do you need this banner to rotate ?, i.e do you have more banners you need to rotate in the same spot. If not then you could just place the txt module in place and your done. If you require it to rotate then all you should need to do from here is open the txt module in edit mode, then up the top in the left corner select the script option, then copy 100% of that script, go to your vendor files, select the vendor you require then select the banner / or create the banner you want.

In the text / script section paste the script you copied from the txt module, then croll up towards the top and select script from the banner type section of dial ups. Name the banner group to a name of your choice, and right at the top you can name the banner it self ( this is seperate to the group name.

Once you have done this save / update the banner, then re open and you should see everything is good. Now go to the page you wish to run the banner on and select the banner module from your modules and place onto your page in a location that suits, then in edit bannner mode in the group name section, type in the group name you applied in the vendor file, then adjust other settings as needed followed by save and your banner should ow be showing.

To add further banners now in the rotation do the same and apply the same group name in the vendor/banner section, this will add additional banners that will rotate on your page.

Got it.   The step which I was not doing was changing the banner type to "script".  Once I did that, then it works just as you said it would.  It does the rotation and when clicked it does not open a new window.

Thank you.
