Hi,

Is there any documentation on the areas that need addressing when integrating DNN with other systems.

I have a web application that reports financial information, complete with its own user/account management. I am trying to develop a DNN module to display information from the existing system and I'm trying to figure out how to map DNN logins to existing logins.

Has anyone got any pointers for me?

This is the reason why ASP.NET 2.0 membership exists, but it looks like a huge task to get DNN to use an other applications membership database. on the other hand it is a nobrainer to have a simpler application use one of DNN's "applications"

Microsft made it by design so that applications could interchange their userdata with just a little configuration. But it isn't that obvious with DNN. my own exploration in DNN membership seems to point out that DNN really needs at least 2 "applications" in terms of membership. One for the superusers, and one for each portal.

So what you are suggestion is... let DNN keeping using the membership system(s) it is using, and then have the "other" application (whatever that is) tap into the membership info that is in DNN?

Or did I misunderstand?
