Hi Guys,

We have installed the  module and are carrying out some trials in the bussines.

Our Project Manager would like to be able to have a single post appear in at least two Discussions Threads.

He'd like Engineering staff to be able to make a post to their Discussion Thread which will automatically appear in the Production Managers Threads and/or the Stores Supervisors Threads,

So that departments only need to read a Thread which applies to them, rather than checking other threads too.

Is there any way to enable this, other than watching the Whats New Scroller?

Thanks in Advance...

Alan......

There is nothing that can do this automatically. I am not even sure this is something that would happen very often. If time was spent on any enhancement it would be an aggregated forum feature I would think.

Thanks Crispy,  I thought that may be the case.

That being so,  is there any way to set the Whats New Scroller default to something other than Today,
I couldn't find any param in the config settings,   unless ive looked in the wrong place.

I think our Production Manager is expecting a lot from the application,  as he doesn't think the users will be able to do whats required if it isnt  'Kept Simple (for the) Stupid' .

I don't believe the Administrator can set the What's New pane to have default value of a date range other than Today, however Users can set for their own account.

This is set under Forum Administration > User Settings. The setting is called Whats New Tracking and is located in the Tracking / Subscription section of Users Settings.

Hi, And thanks for you time,
I did  eventually find the setting you mentioned and figured it may do as you suggest so tried it,  by setting for the user  as Administrator,  and as the user.

It doesnt appear to work, when set either way.

Alan.
