We are considering changing our current website to DNN for content management.  One of the key features we are looking for is a simply interface to create roles that allow moderators to post articles.  We want to know if there is a way to integrate this so that a teaser appears in a linked module on the homepage with a read more link.  Ideally, we would also like older content to be moved to an archive that requires a subscription.  Is there any module with functionality similar to this available, or would this require custom programming?

Thanks,

Brad

There are several advanced Announcements modules out there, have a look at NewsArticle from www.ventrian.com and MagicNews from www.portalfabrik.net

You can use also the free repository module.

Most of the CMS modules like Engage Publish, also do this.  I prefer Ventrian News, both for configurability and value, and it sounds like it would be perfect for your needs.

I have seen the Ventrian module referred to quite a bit here in searching this topic.  From other posts, it seems that it will handle the teaser creation on the homepage that we are looking for (although I don't find any reference to this directly when scanning the documention on their site).  They also vaugely reference the archiving feature, but with little reference to how this is actually managed.  Does this require any additional coding set up?

Thanks for all the suggestions.  We will look into all the modules mentioned here.

Brad
