Hi

I have just built a basic local site using the defualt starter kit install for viusal web developer express.

I have signed up for IHostASp.net and they require a backup .bak file of my local dtabase.  The problem is that I cant seem to connect to the database in the app data folder using the attach command with SQL management studio express.

When I try to browse to the app data folder nothing shows up. In fact I cant seem to browse to any folders inside my inetpub folder

Any ideas

You might have to check the permissions on the folder to see if the SQL server user can access them, I've seen that as an issue in the past.

Personally, SQL Express sucks because of issues like this, things are much easier to track down using SQL 2000 or 2005.
