hi there,

im trying to move an installation from one domain to another. (old - www.bma.com.mt/dotnet)(new - http://www.boatsandyachting.com/dotnet)

ive done this with a simple ftp transfer.

ive also added a Portal Aliases with the new location and restarted the application.

for some reason im still getting re directed to the old installation.

Ive made no changes to the sql db or the web.config as the database will remain on the same server.

Please help as ive read through a ton of forum posts and articles and cant find any solution to this

thanks

Owen

Hey Owen,

Is this a shared hosted environment or something you "actually have control over"? :)

If you do (have control) do you have a host header set in IIS for the new URL as well? I guess i'm trying to figure out if IIS is redirecting to a known URL or if DNN is redirecting because it can't find the portal alias.

One typical path for a Win2k3 server is DNS -> Server IP Address -> IIS Host Header -> DNN application / Portal Alias -> loads appropriate portal.

Hope that helps,

Ian
