I recently sugned up with GoDaddy. DotNetNuke is one of the free apps they provide.

I am trying to configure DOTNETNUKE for the first time and am haveing problems figuring things out.

First, I do not have access to the install files, only to the admin page. When I added the Photo Gallery it shows up as an available page but users do not have an upload button. Where/how do I turn on an upload button?

Thanks much!

The ability to upload is handled in a couple ways. First the user has to have proper rights on the module itself. Next, you need to determine if something is a private gallery or not. The control beyond this is not as restrictive/permissive as some may like at this time.

You really want to avoid dot net nuke on godaddy.  They are running older versions. They really mess with the install so that you cant get to things you need. Things like free text box do not work. The restrictions on file upload and download sizes make the gallery module pretty difficult to deal with. And if you need something as simple as making a dot net nuke file available for you to download (for example, a portal-content export) they refuse.  I just lost about 6 months of DNN content.

Thanks. Since I posted this message I have moved from GoDaddy. They provide cheap prices but their products are poor..  I moved to HostGator. Good proces, good product and good support.

I know this post is quite old, but for people those coming from search engines, i want to update this post with my tutorials.

You can install DotNetNuke and core modules to Godaddy sub folders or Godaddy root folder.

Please visit following link to read tutorials.

Update: Link corrected.
