Fabian, this is the first I have seen this. I will have to try and recreate on a 2.0 install. It looks like there might be a problem with the IFormatProvider. In making the module work in DNN 4.x we found there were several "I" types in the code which didn't work under 2.0 (this is because MS changed some underlying things in the framework). Until I investigate further, I don't have a complete answer for you, but think this is where to start.

By the way, I discovered that the folder "ForumAttachement" was not created in portals/0/
But once I created it the same problems still remain !

Fabian

fabianus, you do not need the gallery for atachments to work.

Crispy, I have the exact smae error as fabianus. Is this issue tracked in gemini??? I'll be investigating this issue verry SOON (I have to finish a forum project this month)

my information so far:

  • DNN4.0.2 install package
  • win 2K3, DNN is runing in it's own application pool
  • SQL2000 DB on separate server
  • Forums 3.20.01 install package
