There are numerous 3rd party modules which handle videos very nicely. Just look at snowcovered.com and find one in your price range. I personally like mandeeps live content package it's a bit pricy but does a great job with it. There are a few ways you can do it with core modules but nothing great. However there is a good module in everyones price range.

Now for redirecting people away from home page. Do you mean when they first visit your site it takes them to a different page? Or do you just want to rename the home page, or both?

To rename it just change the title in the page settings, to tell users to go to a different page when they request your site go into site settings and change the default home page to any other page on your site. The next time a user goes to your site they will hit the page you have defined as home.
