Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade to the latets version of DNN. I have a plesk account with my provider and I'm able to install the starterkit 3.x

My problem is to config the web.config the get the upgrade running to 4.7 or 4.8

Does anyone know how to edit the web.config te get it run. I've read of course teh DNN Installationguide but I can's get it run.

Anybody can provide me me with a step by step for this purpose in particular?

Any help would be fine.

first: why not just start with the latest DNN version. You are not bound to the options plesk are offering, you can also upload the dnn installation files yourself. Please be aware though that DNN needs write permissions in the root of the application and below. Plesk does not support that, so you need to do that by hand.

also: you don't need to make any changes to your web.config, other than making the proper changes to your connection strings. Please do rememember to change the asp.net version from 1.1 to 2.0

Thanks for your reply!

I'v tried that to start with the latest but I didn't get it run. I'm able to set ASP to V2, set read and write permissions, create database and so on in the root.

So what should I change in the connection strings?
