Hi, I keep getting this same error and so do all my visitors. I'm assuming it's due to restraints with my host WH4L as the reason for the timeout. Can anyone tell me if I'm correct or maybe ran into the same? It's driving us all nuts and I'd love to figure out a solution. Any help is appreciated.

Its mostly host related, your site is sending a request to the server to be processed and is not getting anything back as a reply. I tried using webhost4life for a host and ran into the exact same issue time and time and time again. Moved to a new host and problem was solved. WH4L server setup for whatever reason is about the worst I have ever seen for a DNN installation. Great company, excellent support, just horrid server support for a DNN site.

As mentioned above it is most likely an issue with communication witht he server.

However, i would do a bit of looking inside your database to see if you have any tables that have grown exceptionally large that mgiht be causing problems.  Most specifically I would look at the "EventLog" and SiteLog tables to see if they have massive numbers of recrods in them, as large tables there can affect other items as well.

However, WH4L is not known at being all that good for a DNN installation, you might consider moving hosts.  I personally use 3Essentials and couldn't be happier (referral link in signature)
