I want to delegate certain web activities. In one case,  I've created a page for accessing document files, and everything is automatic, once a file is dropped into a specific folder using the File Manager.  I looked at using the Repository module, but it just doesn't do what I'm looking for.  My version has a ASP/javascript based tree view of the files (organizing the tree by fields within the file name) with links targeted to the main Iframe.  I'd cite the URL, but it's only viewable by registered users.

Now that I have the page working nicely, I want to delegate the file uploading to an "content provider" security role.  I'd like that user to see an extra module with an UPLOAD button that would allow write access only to a specific folder.  I know how to reveal the extra module, but is there a "canned" way of providing the upload interaction?  I can probably create an ASP document in an Iframe, but everything I do like that is one step further away from the pholosophical roots of DNN.

Am I supposed to create a new module type?  I'm new with DNN and an ASP driven Iframe involves a lot less figuring out...

Further confusing the issue is an ASP script that tries to write to a folder doesn't seem to have permission (even as Administrator).  There's either another class of privilege I'm unaware of or the script is running as a user that I can't give write access (despite having tried "all users" in the file manager).

A suggestion on how to deal with a one-off ASP script or module creation would be highly appreciated.
