I don't have VS 2003, only VS 2005.  BUT I have the repository module 4.03.00.  So can I use VS 2005 to do this?  If not, is there a way to get VS 2003, or am I just unable to add my fields?

THanks!

the latest Repository version is 3.01.14 ( I think you're confusing the Repository version with the DotNetNuke version ).  There is no way to make a code change with VS 2005 unless you convert the whole module. Unfortunately the module will not convert cleanly because of core changes, so you will end up with about 100 or so errors that you will have to correct. So, without VS 2003, there's no easy way to do what you want.

I am removing required field validation to file and image  (I want to use this as Classfieds module). To achieve this I have to make some code changes. I opened the repository project using vs 2003 but unable to build using nant. I am using DotNetNUke 4.8.4 version. NANT build is looking for vbproj file which is not available in this dotnetnuke version. Could you help me with this.

If the only thing you are trying to do is remove the validators, then you DO NOT have to make any code changes at all, just set the Required setting for the FILE and IMAGE tokens to false in the xml file. See the Admin/Users guide for more information

Hi,

I was able to Build the source using VS 2005 but have the following questions:

1- I noticed a reference to FreeTextEditor but could not identify the appropriate dll I just deleted it.

and added a reference to the fck editor.

2- If I want to modify and debug the repository code I need the DNN source project correct?

now it is referenced but not present. In one of your (Steve) replies you mentioned DNN source is only needed when changing DNN itself but I

need to debug my changes to repository...

Thanks

Charbel
