I'm quite new to programming and DNN especially but I'm a quick learner and I have managed to use the XML module and an XSL template to read and display only the information I need from a large web page XML feed.  So far, so good.

Now, I would like to insert that extracted data into a database (MSAccess or SQLServer).  I'm having trouble working out how to do this. I'm not asking for detailed code just a pointer to the actual logic and technique for doing this.  I would have thought this was a fairly common scenario but I can't find an immediate solution.   I have seen $200 programs on the market for converting XML to Databases but I'm not sure if that is what I need.  Can I solve this without going through an intermediate stage of physically saving my extracted XML to a file?  Am I missing some blatantly obvious functionality already in the XML module? Is there another DNN module out there I need?

Thanks in advance for you help.  Peter.

We have used Universal List from CookDNN for same task in past. It was free (not sure how is it now).

Sergey,

Universal List looks promising, I'll give it a try.  Not free anymore but $57.95 seems pretty reasonable to me if it does what I want.

Thanks for the help.

NP, you are welcome. We have used it when it was for free. Good luck ;)
