You will want to look at the Localization Guide that is available from the documentation section of this site.

Mitch -

I have downloaded the docs for 4.8.2 and they are labeled as docs for 4.4.1 and the last mod date was by Shawn Walker Aug 16, 2005.  It goes over general localization for labels and other simple areas but nothing about gridview, detailview or datalist.

Any other thoughts or do you happen to have another document or link to a document?

In the class DotNetNuke.Services.Localization.Localization:

Public Shared Sub LocalizeGridView(ByRef gridView As GridView, ByVal resourceFile As String)

Bill:

Do I put the full file name in or the path with the file name in order to get this to work?  I have tried many ways and have not been successful.

LocalizeGridview(gvEquipment, "MyLocalResourceFile.ascx.resx")

LocalizeGridview(gvEquipment, "MyLocalResourceFile")

LocalizeGridview(gvEquipment, "~/DesktopModules/MyModule/App_LocalResources/MyLocalResourceFile.ascx.resx")

Thanks

Jan -

What is Me.LocalResourceFile set to?  it is a string but what is it's value or where are you setting it?  Also, what do I need to set in my Gridview to get it to know what the resource key for a column header is?  I have tried setting the resourceKey="Equipment" in the BoundField and get an error that resourceKey is not a valid attribute of BoundField.
