I am opening and closing a child portal/page via javascript.
However, once my parent page does a postback (after closing the child page), I get
logged out and sent back to the login page.

FYI…This works if (and only if) I log in as “host”.

DotNetNuke Version:  03.03.04

Thanks in advance!!

Ryan, that's a very old version you're running, i'd recommend you upgrade. I know there were a serie of fixes made around child portal logouts in later versions.

I'm having a a similar problem getting logged off repeatedly in 4.8.2 when 'cancelling' or 'saving' in an Indoo grid form.   But, it only seems to occur in IE, not Firefox.

Things WERE working okay in IE but suddenly  things started logging users off.  I saw a previous post about Firefox not exhibiting the behavior, and sure enough, I can't get it to log off in Firefox but it happens pretty much every time in IE.

The problem occurs on multiple pages in multiple child portals, so it's not limited to a single page or grid.  the problem occurs with AD authenticated users and 'registered' users.

Is there some setting in IE that needs to change?  do I need to upgrade to 4.8.3?  Do I need to have all users (it's an intranet) switch to Firefox?   Do I need to just give up?!!!!!!
