These are all the DotNetNuke core datatypes that are used when creating the profile fields of the DNN registration form. I'm trying to find a programmer that knows how to add an image datatype field to the list above. I heard that adding a datatype should be a quick and easy task, I just want to learn the basics of extending the profile property editor. For example, once the new datatype is added how can I limit the file size and pixel size of the user's image. Also how do you replace the old user image with the new user image when the user decides to change their image in the manage your profile section?

It would be great if the image type were added to the core - it really helps the user profile and then all modules could standardise their approach to this (ie. the Forum use their own avatar, I use my own image on the Smart-Thinker profile module etc.)

One of the things I want to do with my Image Editor control DNN Forge project  (http://codeplex.com/imageeditor) to wrap it into an image data type property edit control for use in the user profile but have not had time to look deeply into how this is done. I am particularly uncertain as to how to allow the developer/dnn profile to set the many properties of this control such as image size, aspect ratio, etc.  Perhaps someone more familiar with the property edit controls and the user profile would like to take this on (hint).
