Hi Lior. In a word, YES, I did find a solution. I'm moving to ASPDOTNETSTOREFRONT, the NON-DNN version. Well, I think at least. I'm on the demo now it is so incredible that I want to cry knowing how long I've been wasting my time with Catalook! Catalook IS a very robust piece of software but I've encountered way too many bugs and had too many issues trying to find out how to do some simple things. It seems like every time something changes, be it a DNN version, Catalook version, shared dll's, changing servers etc etc etc, things go wrong. I'm in dire need of a working platform and DNN/Catalook just isn't cutting it. Maybe when Cambrian comes out it'll be better, but I'm not going to count on it. Developing on DNN is such a "here and now" kind of thing, where module developers are struggling to keep up with the changes to DNN. If you can get everything working correctly, DON'T TOUCH IT ANYMORE! Don't upgrade, add modules or change any code. You just might wind up regretting it. Flexibility in the beginning, a hell of a lot of troubleshooting, and then perhaps, just maybe you'll get a working site that you are scared to do anything with in the future due to the extensive troubleshooting involved.
An example for you... I just did a site for a client who had hired a DNN developer who had them buy 5 grand in skins and modules and then took off with them, leaving them with a mediocre site. They came to me to redesign it and when I told them they needed to upgrade the IT guys were very resistant. They wanted no involvement in that process as they had experienced serious issues before. Just goes to show how scary and unstable DNN is. The sad thing is, I didn't blame them at all for not wanting to be involved.
I don't want to turn this into a DNN bashing thread, but I've reached my limit.
