This will be my first try at dotnetnuke. I have downloaded everything and now I am trying to install it correctly. I am reading from the FAQ's from the dotnetnuke website about how to do a clean install. I am to the part where you create a new virtual directoy in IIS name it DotNetNuke and Second, create a Virtual Directory in IIS called DotNetNuke which points to the directory where the DotNetNuke.vbproj file exists.  Ensure that you have default.aspx specified as a Default Document for your Virtual Directory. What will be my path to the correct directory. It names a file called BotNetNuke.vbproj. Where is that located? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. DL

Set the IIS directory path to where ever you have unzipped DotNetNuke, the path for IIS would be the root folder of DotNetNuke.   This would be the same folder where you see the release.config or web.config file.   You will also see Default.aspx in that folder, and several sub folders there such as admin, DesktopModules, Portals, and others.

Make sure that you have set the authorities correct on the folder (depending on operating system, Windows Server or XP).

The default document in IIS  would be default.aspx.
