Scott,i've not used the xmlmerge capabilities yet so I can't see whats wrong with your fragment, it looks fine to me. As for running it via Sergey's code, you can use the IUpgradeable interface (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/111/threadid/52093/scope/posts/Default.aspx) to run it on first install.

Charles Nurse (the creator of the code) is in Italy (without a computer :) but I'm positive the installer will only alter the web.config for providers. It will not do it for modules until DNN 5.0

That is good to know.  Thanks for telling me because I was still trying to figure that out.  I guess I will have to try using the IUpgradeable interface to get it done.  My only remaining question then would be where do I implement that interface?  Do I have one of my ascx files implement it, do I create a separate class that implements it or does it go somewhere else?  I guess I'm just confused on what objects DNN will try to call methods against IUpgradeable.  Thanks again for the heads up!

Scott
