Not sure if this in the correct Forum. If not please move it :)

I'm using the house of nuke menu wich can takes the TabID variable to determine what part of the menu should be displayed.

So for my menu i would like to get the parent ID of the current page. I was wondering what the code for this is and if i can use this code in my ASCX Skin files.

Appreciate any help you can give me, Thanks in advance.

Hi RJ,

There are a variety of ways to get this information, but here is what I would use:

DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalController.GetCurrentPortalSettings().ActiveTab.ParentId

Hope this helps!

Believe the following is what you're looking for:

DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalController.GetCurrentPortalSettings().ActiveTab.HasChildren

There are a variety of useful properties and methods in the PortalSettings and TabInfo class.  You can use Visual Studio's Object Browser to view them -- just search for TabInfo.
