Previous post a victim of the a l e r t  issue.

Hi

Using Events 4.1 RC1 on a 4.8.3 site I started to get a lot of host "a l e r t" errors relating to a module from early Workcontrol bulk email module that I had removed ages ago.

EventQueue.ProcessMessage: Message Processing Failed ProcessorType: DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.EventMessageProcessor, DotNetNuke Body: Sender: BusinessControllerClass: WorkControl.Modules.BulkEmail.BulkEmailController DesktopModuleId: 71 UpgradeVersionsList: 01.00.00 ExceptionMessage: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: type Server Name: FRANCIUM

Work control relied very quickly with the following:
Please visit the link below and download the document Fix business controller class error in Event Viewer.
http://www.workcontrol.com/Support/tabid/53/Default.aspx
In summary, there is a bad record in the EventQueue table that must be fixed.

I have not tried this yet but thought others should know.

BTW: I was one of those that ran the query and supplied feedback. I know we are all busy but a quick "got It" would have been nice.
That said THANKS for the effective work being done on this important module.

Ian

PS: My number 1 feature request would be the ability to filter sub calendar content by category.

Hi Ian,

Can you provide some more detail, it looks like you got cut off in midstream.

Cheers

Ian,

Thanks. Note that these messages/errors don't relate to the Events module but the processing of the Event logging queue by the look of it. Two seperate things, the Event queue is part of DNN core, Events has an extra 's'

Cheers
Roger

Ian - looking at this again, you seem to relate the errors with the install of the Events module 4.0.1 RC1. Why do you believe they are related ?

Thanks
Roger
