Just to be sure, are both websites pointing to the exact same database?

I am thinking go to PortalAlias table and change localhost/website  to www.mydomain.com/website.
Can this change cause any problem with website execution? Is there any other place where I need to change? My thoughts is that removing localhost string reference from database my website will be forced to assume the remote http string.
Make sense?
tks.

Yes, both websites use the same web.config and obviously the database connection string is the same. In other words, both poiting to my remote database. Using SQL Server client I could verify that PortalAlias table in remote database has all the aliases that I added using my local website.
I will change the string in table and see if this can fix the problem. Once logged remotely than I will be able to do any other change that make necessary.

Thanks.
