We will treat this as we would any other issue, as I'm afraid it's not realistic to email 600,000 users about potential issues. I've logged the issue @
http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=7925&PROJID=2 and once I have a solution for it, I'll look to merge it with an existing friendly url issue @
http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=7785&PROJID=2 . We will then assess when a release will occur. Releases are never withdrawn unless they contain security problems or showstoppers. Whilst human friendly url's aren't working as expected, the sites still respond to human friendly url's and still function so I don't think this would rate as a showstopper, but I don't make the final decisions.

At least, users can be informed before downloading latest release via an announcement placed at Downloads page.

Great to see the cause has been discovered, thanks to all involved. Hate to ask guys because I’m sure your all busy working on DNN 5, but will there be a 4.8.5 release for the friendly URL issues?
