Hello all!

I have a weird problem that I desperatly need help with.
I am running DNN 4.02 and are getting a problem with W3wp.exe (IIS Process Worker)
It just grows in memory and after a while, just blocks the IIS totally.
I need to kill the process to get access to the the webserver.  And it just starts up again.
I need to kill the process about 4-5/day in order to allow the sites on the server to be accesses..
The server has enough memory, but when the w3wp gets to about 130Mb it just hangs the IIS.. or something..

Help anyone?

/David

I experience a similar issue on many of the sites I run.  I have a dedicated web server with 2GB of physical memory running a single DNN host (3.1.1).  The memory just keeps growing over time until it reaches about 1.5GB, and then everything pretty much hangs.  What might be causing this?

Well, I have a dedicated IIS server also with 2Gb of RAM.
I am running DNN 4.02

I don´t have the same problem, since I have anough memory left, when it starts to hang the IIS.

When the w3wp gets more then 120 MB the IIS stops responding totally.
I am monitoring my server, and it is never over 50% of used RAM at the moment..

This is frustrating, since I am getting calls like "why is the site down.." and I know I need to kill the process..
All the time!

Aaaahh!! is what I can say!

If you're running DDN in a web farm environment, please check your schedule under host. Try to untick those two default sechdules which should figure out the problem. Remember to edit the schedule indicating which server to run on.
