can I configure the Profile Change Notification to stop DNN sending out password change emails?

A client of mine does not want the emails sent out with a password, for security reasons

I have

enablePasswordRetrieval=false, however I don't think that this stops the email going if an admin resets the password

Short of changing the core code, you could modify the email template and remove the password field.  You could change the text to a generic message such that the user is informed that their password has been changed.

I believe Travis' suggestion is the easiest thing to do -- certainly it's the fastest "fix" while you determine a permanent solution.
