I am a complete dummy i DNN. So - how do I install. I have downloaded the DNN 4.0.2 files - where do I go from here??

If you download the documentation zip file there is a great 63 page installation PDF file that walks you through all of the necessary steps.  Look for the file called "DotNetNuke Installation Guide.pdf"

extract the files and look insode the Documents directory for a welcome.htm page. Open tat and read the instructions. For the default install type, you need SQL Server Express, and Visual studio to make some changes to the application and set it up.

Basicly, it goes like this: set up the DB, rename the release.config to web.config, and make the appropriate changes to the connection string. Publish the site.
