Hello Everyone,

When I asked the best way to present articles on a DNN site mostly everybody said that Ventrain's News Articles module was the best. I've played around with it a little and checked it out on a number of different websites. While I do like it, and it can be very clean, I don't know if it's the best option for what I'm looking for.

I'm in the process of creating a portal to provide resources for small/medium business owners. The portal will have several channels (VoIP, Network Security, Managed Services...) that will all provide white papers, articles etc. in that specific subject.
Our initial wireframe’s article structure looked a little more like this: http://www.tangomag.com/feature
What module is Tango using to do this?

Is this Ventrain’s module: http://youthroots.faithstreams.com/articles/tabid/124/default.aspx? If so, it’s one of the best ways to use it that I’ve seen.

The Youthroots site is using Ventrian's module, the Tango site is something else entirely, but the Ventrian module can be templated to look like that as well.

Layout is one thing, but functionality is another... The module doesn't have the related content functionality that I can see on the tango site, but it has been much-discussed and is somewhere on the roadmap. Ventrian also doesn't have the comment form on the same page as the article. This has also been discussed, but I'm not sure what the result was.

There is also a need for the module to distinguish between channels and tags. Currently it has categories and people are using them for both. This has also been discussed at length in the Ventrian forum and last time Scott (the developer) responded, he had fully grasped the distinction and presumably taken note for the roadmap.

The module primarily takes the cake due to its templating system and ongoing development.
