Hi All,

Can anyone please explain me how to use the HostHeader key given in Web.Config???

<add key="HostHeader" value="" />
<!-- Host Header to remove from URL so "www.mydomain.com/johndoe/Default.aspx" is treated as "www.mydomain.com/Default.aspx" -->

What setting requires in Web.Config OR IIS to treat "www.mydomain.com/johndoe/Default.aspx" as "www.mydomain.com/Default.aspx" ???

For the above scenario where the DNN website resides??? Is at www.mydomain.com OR www.mydomain.com/johndoe/ ???

Thanks,
Mahesh

Hey Mahesh,

Is this question asked out of curiosity or is there a particular problem you are trying to solve? Can you explain to us the particular problem you are having? I have not personally needed to use the hostheader key in the web.config to solve any problems - I'd like to know exactly the problem you're addressing to determine if this is appropriate resolution.

Thanks,

Ian
