I am installing Dot Net Nuke on a XP Pro Machine. I am following the setup instructions. I am on step 4: Set File Permissions. My problem is that XP doesn’t look like this. It is missing the Security tab. I am not sure how to set the folder security permissions. Where did Microsoft hide this in Windows XP Pro?

In XP Pro, the defailt is to have simple file share security enabled.  You have to change that before you will see the NTFS Security Tab.

Here is directions:

To disable simple file sharing

1.

In My Computer, click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.

2.

On the View tab, in Advanced settings, clear the Use simple file sharing (Recommended) check box.
