Hi, I am building a new skin for the site using DNN 4.8.4.
I noticed that each of my pages has a title with the following format: "Site name > Root Page > Current Page".
For example "DotNetNuke > Community > Forum" . Is there a way to control this string.
I do not care for breadcrumbs effect, since I have a breadcrumbs on the page. I would much rather have only the title I set when I created the page.
If there is no way to do so can I at least get rid of ">" and replace it with period or some more visually pleasing symbol.
Thanks
Angel

please take a look at the skinning guide @ http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Documentation/DownloadableFiles/tabid/478/Default.aspx , it will tell you what setting skin objects support. For the breadcrumb the approriate property would be "Seperator"

Separator - default value= breadcrumb.gif

The separator between breadcrumb links. This can include custom skin images, text, and HTML ( ie. )

I am sorry, But looks like you have misunderstood my post. I am asking how to change the page title that appears on top of the page in ie for this page it is:

	DotNetNuke > Community > Forums

I want to replaces this Page Title schema with my own. for example

    My Best Forums

I have found that one can get the base page with CType(Me.Page, DotnetNuke.Framework.CDefault) , this CDefault class have a property Title thath returns this string. I wrote a little serverside script on my skin.aspx file to change this property to"My Best Forums" but when rendered the title is still "DotNetNuke > Community > Forums"

Is there a way to change a page title from

Angel

If you go into the settings for your page you'll see that right below the Page Name is Page Title. Whatever you put in there is what is shown at the top of your browser window.

Currently, the default page separator is ">". It would be nice to be able to change this globally to a different separator.

I.E. - "SiteName | TabName" or "SiteName - TabName"

To do this change on each page for a site that has many pages seems like an inefficient way to go about this. Is there a way to do this globally?
