I have attemped clean installs on on a SQL Server 2008 box and on a Windows Vista Business SP1 box. Both boxes use MSSQL The data bases are created and the install dialog completes indicating sucessful installs. When the Go to site link is pressed, the site is never displayed. I am using DNN 04.08.04. If one reatemps to visit the site the same results occur. What can be done to fiz this issue

SQL Server 2008 Box mentioned above is an error. Windows Server 2008 Box is correct. I installed DNN 04.08.04 on a windows XP box. The installation was successful. What needs to be done diferently for Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, and IIS 7.0?

I'm not sure...but I'm attmpting to migrage to server 2008 and sql 2008.  My test show that the sites run great on server 2008 connecting to a SQL 2005 box, but when I try to get my server 2008 to talk to SQL 2008 box, always get connection errors.

I'm starting to wonder if the beta of sql 2008 only limits you to localhost connections?

I have RC0 of SQL server 2008 on the Windows 2008 box and the Vista box. The interesting thing is that databases populate with the DNN tables. The problem does not occur until the sites are launched
