I was working away on a site, saved, viewed and the right pane was blinking then it went away completely.  I finally found it at the bottom of the page beyond the copyright.  I an't get it back.  What did I do?  And what can I do?  I am perplexed...

You might need to provide more detail or a link, but in the meantime... try undoing the last thing you did. If you were pasting some content into a text module, it may have contained broken html. Having just half a div or a table in your content can cause this. Or if you were altering any css and the skin has a css layout, it can also easily fall to pieces like that.

Standard tip for anyone working on a DNN site - Don't do anything until you know how to backup and restore your portal and database. It's a recipe for tears otherwise.

I was putting some PayPal buttons in the html so that could be what happened.  I'll remove the content of those modules and start over.  I can't wait till I get better at this cause right now I really hate DNN.  I'm in the process of learning to use Joomla.  I hate Joomla!, too.   Thanks.  The site is http://acs-ghs.org

These tools are easy to hate.. they're very unfriendly out of the box.

The paypal buttons are very likely the problem. You can't actually use straight paypal code in a text module in DNN because you can't have a form inside a form and bot the paypal bits and the DNN page are forms.

There are several modules for paypal buttons, but there is also a workaround for adding buttons by hand. Someone here will know where that is.

For easy ongoing maintenance consider gumbosoft's paypal buy now or paypal cart module. I can recommend both.

Here is a  guide to using paypal in txt html, you can also use the events module that has a paypal option built in.
