When you say, go the the advanced settings....which ones?  Apologies for the newbie question but most settings menus have an advanced menu.

Oh, and is there a way of geting Rad Editor without having to shell out for the whole Rad Control package at $1,000?

It looks at face value to be a better system.

When you are in the FCK Editor click show custom editor options... you should see from there...

 

It seems to work ok. You can also tweak the css & xml...

Not exactly, however, I believe if you have someone do custom skinning work for you, it can be considered part of the package.
