Hello everyone,

In one of my module I need to add a link to DNNs account profile, so that users can manage their information. I cant seem to find an easy way of redirecting to the users profile. Does anyone know an easy way of doing this?

Thanks for any help!

M

Hi Sebastian,

thank you for your reply. I found the answer myself after some investigation. If anyone else is interested, what I was looking for is:

Response.Redirect(

Globals.NavigateURL(PortalSettings.ActiveTab.TabID, "Profile", "UserID=" + user.UserID.ToString()), true);

Hi Macio, I'm interested

How did you make a link out of that? (non-developer here)

 Hi Rob,

I added a LinkButton to the page I was creating. Added a click event to the link button. Then added the following code behind to the click event:

protected void lnkbtProfile_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
 UserInfo user = UserController.GetCurrentUserInfo();
 if(user.UserID !=-1)
 {
    if( PortalSettings.UserTabId != -1)
    {
      Response.Redirect(DNN.Globals.NavigateURL(PortalSettings.UserTabId), true);
    }
    else
    {
      Response.Redirect(DNN.Globals.NavigateURL(PortalSettings.ActiveTab.TabID, "Profile", "UserID=" + user.UserID.ToString()), true);
    }
 }

}

Hope this helps!

Macio
